Gridiron Picks of the Week: Leader keeps pulling away

Matt Goul's bold pick of Gettysburg over Greencastle-Antrim helped him gain another game on the rest of the field in Week 4.

In fact, there wasn't much movement among our predictors in this week's rankings. Of the 14 games, our staffers all made the same prediction in 10 of them.

And in each of the four games that saw some difference of opinion in winner, every one saw just a single lone wolf predictor.

That worked out well for Goul, who was the only one to correctly predict Gettysburg's double-overtime win. Matt went 10-4 in Week 4 to improve to 55-14 overall. He's eight wins ahead of second-place Steve Navaroli (47-22).

On the flip side, Lyzz Jones' lone-wolf pick of Big Spring ended up burning her when Northern York rolled past the Bubblers. The loss allowed Navaroli to take sole possession of second place, and it allowed Tom Sixeas to move into a tie for third with Jones.

Mike Rubin went out on a limb in two games, but they resulted in a wash. He got a point back with his correct pick of Red Lion over West York, but picking Susquehannock cost him, as Central York downed the Warriors.

Week 5 predictions: Once again, our predictors are on the same page in many of the Week 5 matchups. But there are a couple of games that could shake up the pecking order.

Goul's pick of York County Tech over Fairfield will either help him add to his lead or help the pack catch up. And there's no clear consensus on who'll win the Central York at Dover clash.
