District softball once again anyone's guess

With the District 3 softball tournament kicking off today, I thought I would take a look at the 2012 playoff to see how the seeding held up.

It didn't.

Last season in Class AAAA, the championship game was fourth-seeded Central Dauphin defeating No. 3 Dallastown, 7-6. I was at Millersville University for that title game, it was a great one.

In AAA, No. 3 Manheim Central knocked off Greencastle-Antrim, the No. 5 seed and in AA, third-seeded Kutztown besting No. 4 Annville-Cleona. In A, only two teams qualified so the rule doesn't really apply.

The point is, with the softball postseason anyone can win. And if further proof is needed, simply look at Monday's district baseball tournament results where the top three seeds in Class AAAA were eliminated.
