Central York's Brad Livingston to be inducted in PVCA Hall of Fame

It's been a pretty good year for iconic Central York coach Brad Livingston.

In the spring, the Panthers longtime football and boys' volleyball coach learned he would be inducted into the York Sports Hall of Fame.

This fall, Livingston's football team put together yet another solid season -- finishing 8-4 and earning a share of the YAIAA Division I title.

And now, one more honor: On Saturday, Livingston will be inducted into the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. The ceremony is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Park Forest Middle School in State College.

Under Livingston, Central has consistently been one of the area's top volleyball programs. The highlight of his tenure came in 2011, when the Panthers won a Class AAA state title.

The induction ceremony is held in conjunction with the PVCA two-day coaches clinic and the first two rounds of the NCAA women’s volleyball championships (Penn State is the No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament).
