Hanover athletes recognized by booster club
The Hanover Athletic Booster Club held their annual awards banquet on May 17.
Here are the recipients:
Bob Forry Award (Outstanding Male Athlete):Jordan Banks
- On the football field, Banks played offense, defense, and special teams and was a standout in all three areas. Jordan led the team in receptions, yards from scrimmage, and touchdowns scored. Jordan led the basketball team to a 12 win season and a first round district playoff victory.
Reuel K. Hoke Award (Outstanding Female Athlete):Abbey Rhodes
- Rhodes was a leader on the volleyball, basketball and track team. She was the leading scorer for the basketball team and broke the school record in the shot put.
It Ain’t Easy Award: Rebekah Cartwright
- Cartwright struggled with asthma and a knee complication that requires her to wear two knee braces when she competes. Despite her physical challenges, she earned a fourth-place finish in the YAIAA Class AA singles tournament this year.
- In addition to being a stellar academic student, Sheeley kept stats for the basketball team.

- Dale Fogelsanger, Alumni AwardLeah Van Sant, Mary Dixon and Susan Robart, Citizenship Award Courtney Cleary and Abbey Rhodes, 6th Annual Jody Kuhn Memorial Scholarships
