The Spring Grove football team will use its opening night matchup against Central Dauphin East this Friday to try and "tackle hunger" in its surrounding community.

According a release from the school, fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to this Friday's 7 p.m. game. The food items will be collected inside both gates and will be donated to local food pantries. The gates at Papermakers Stadium with open at 5:30.

There should certainly be a buzz in the stadium that night, for the debut of new Rockets coach Russ Stoner.
