High School Spotlight- Aniella Janosky

Aniella Janoksy is a sophomore swimmer for Dover High School and we caught up with her to find out a little bit more about her.

How is the season going?

It is going well.  It started slow, but picked up about halfway through the season.  As a team, this is one of the best seasons Dover has had.  I started training two months later than normal so for me personally, the season started off slower then I would have liked.  About halfway through the season my times started getting back to where I wanted them.

What events do you swim?

50 and 100 meter for the Butterfly and for Freestyle, I do sprints and middle distances.

What is the highlight of your career so far?

I would have to say last night winning the division title.  We really pride ourselves on team over the individual so that was an awesome accomplishment for our team.

When did you start swimming?

I learned how to swim when I was 2 years old and joined the swim team at 3.

What is your favorite pre-game meal?

Fettucini Alfredo

What is one junk food you cannot live without?

Cupcakes!

What artist could I find on your ipod?

Taylor Swift

What is your favorite TV show?

Pretty Little Liars.  My sister and I love it.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Swimming is not your whole life.  So it is not worth getting that upset when you have one bad swim.  There is so much more in swimming and in life in general- Dad
