Spencer McCreary to play at Wheaton College (Illinois)

Red Lion's Spencer McCreary will be continuing his basketball career at Wheaton College in Illinois, according to a news release from the college.

Spencer average 22.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game in his three years as a varsity starter.

He was an all-YAIAA first-team selection, as well as a two-time York Daily Record all-star.

He cracked the 1,000-point mark on Jan. 29, when he scored 36 points

(including Red Lion's final 20 of the game) in an overtime loss to

Central York.

The Thunder advanced to the second round of the Division III tournament last season.
