Revs to host Eastern York Sports Night

Another nice touch by the York Revolution, who continue to do their best to connect with the area's scholastic sports fan base. On Monday, May 17, the Revs and Sovereign Bank Stadium will host Eastern York Sports Night, in large part to honor the Golden Knights boys' basketball which that won the District 3 Class AAA title this past season and advanced to the PIAA semifinals.

Discounted tickets will be made available to Eastern York fans, and word I've gotten is a few members of the boys' basketball team will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game.

The event will coincide with the Eastern York boys' basketball team banquet, which is being held at the park on that night.

The Revs have done a nice job trying to align themselves with the local high school sports scene. Sovereign Bank Stadium will host a few high school baseball games in the coming days (including Friday's Biglerville-Northern York contest), as well as the YAIAA baseball championships on May 13 and 15.

And don't forget, the Vault will host its first football contest next October when Eastern York and York Catholic square off.
