Lancaster Mennonite advances with win over Somerset


Lancaster Mennonite made the long drive to Johnstown worth it on Friday night and extended their season with a 70-44 win over Somerset in the first round of the boys PIAA Class AAA Tournament.

Lancaster Mennonite had three players in double-digits with Zach Lehman of leading all scorers with 19. Darris Bair added 12 and Tyer Constein chipped in 10. Dylan Barnes led Somerset in scoring with 13.

The Blazers will now move on to the second round where they’ll meet up with District Seven’s Chartiers Valley. The Colts defeated Erie Strong Vincent, 68-54 in their first round matchup. The Blazers and Colts will play on Tuesday, March 11 at a time and place to be determined.
