Girls' lacrosse roundup: Irish, Rams, Warriors moving on
Watch highlights from the 2017 YAIAA girls' lacrosse title game, featuring Kennard-Dale vs York Catholic.
York Catholic coach Rob Linthicum knows he tends to be a perfectionist.
So he looks back on York Catholic's 12-10 victory against Wyomissing in a District 3 Class 2A quarterfinal Wednesday, and he looks at where his team could have improved.
"We jumped out to a really good lead, it was 4-0 ... and then we went down hill," Linthicum said.

No. 6-seeded Wyomissing kept erasing deficits, and No. 3-seeded York Catholic kept going back in front.
"It was really back and fourth until we finally got a lead late in the game," Linthicum said. "I have to give Wyomissing credit, they gave a tremendous effort."
Looking at the big picture, however, Linthicum also knows his team is still on track to make some noise in the postseason.
The win sets up York Catholic's third meeting against YAIAA rival Kennard-Dale in a District 3 semifinal Monday. Kennard-Dale beat Trinity 21-10 Wednesday night. The two teams will meet at Susquehannock at 6 p.m.
The two teams tied early in the season, and Kennard-Dale scored a come-from-behind victory in the league championship game earlier this month.
Also joining Kennard-Dale and York Catholic in the District 3 Class 2A semifinals is Susquehannock. The top-seeded Warriors knocked off Cocalico 22-10. Susquehannock will meet Hershey, an 18-9 winner over Lancaster Country Day in its semifinal on Monday at Penn Manor at 5 p.m.
The lone remaining Class 3A team, South Western dropped a 17-7 decision to No. 1 seed Wilson.
