Republican Andy Biggs took over the conservative House Freedom Caucus in his second term in Congress. Democrat Joan Greene, a small business owner who lost to Biggs in 2018, is trying again to unseat him in the rapidly growing, but still solidly Republican district. The district covers the southeast Valley, including Mesa, Gilbert and parts of Chandler and Queen Creek.
