Here is Thursday's girls' track and field roundup.

South Western's Holly Arey competed at the prestigious Penn Relays on Thursday and finished 10th in the discus with a heave of 122 feet, 3 inches.

Jamaica's Rochelle Frazer won with a toss of 155-10.

Arey wasn't the only local to compete. Red Lion's Amanda Myers finished 11th out of 16 in the javelin with a toss of 126-2. Danville's Shelby Freedman won with a throw of 143-4.

Several area relay teams competed in big school events. Central York competed in the 1,600 and 400 relays. The Panthers 1,600 quartet of CJ Dickinson, Kendra Snyder, Kennedy Little and DeJane'e Fells finished 14th in their heat in 4:21.46. Their 400 relay, consisting of Sarah McLaughlin, Little, Sarah Smolko and Nicole Hatchard, finished in 53.61 to place 202nd of 250.

Red Lion also competed in the same two events. Their 400 relay team of Meredith Kunce, Angelica Gonzalez, Jessica Lewis, Cassidy Barshinger, finished in 51.75 good for 125th. The 1,600 relay quartet of Barshinger, Kylie Strong, Jessica Lewis and Gonzalez finished fourth out of 13 in their heat in 4:11.73.

In the small school 400, South Western's team of Maddy Swanner, Makenzie Wall, Amore Coleman and Lynne Mooradian finished 43rd out of 339 schools (50.60). York Suburban's quartet of Tagan Lehr, Heather Ramp, Destiny Henson and Ty Avery finished 138th in 52.8. Jamaica's Holmwood Tech won in 46.70.

In the 1,600 relay, South Western's team of Steph Shaw, Erin Harman, Coleman and Mooradian finished fifth out of 12 in their heat in 4:19.14. York Suburban's team of Lauren Shrader, Olivia Gettle, Kimmy Hall and Ty Avery finished eighth out of 14 in their heat in 4:22.06.

Dover 126, Kennard-Dale 24 >> Megan Lokhaiser won three jumping events to lead the Eagles to a 100-plus point victory.

Lokhaiser took first in the high jump (4-4), triple jump (30-6 1/2) and long jump (14-2 1/4). Teammate Kayla Miller won two middle distance events in the 400 (1:06.0) and 800 (2:45.1). Rayah Fink took first in the 100 (13.8) and 200 (29.1) and rounding out the double winners for the Eagles was Faith Jackson. She placed first in the shot put (32-4) and discus (82-7).

Lauren Pickett led the Rams with a pair of second-place finishes in the 100 and 200. The Rams' 400 relay team was also victorious.
