Division II Players of the Year

Maxine Herman, Dover: Herman served as team captain her junior and senior year, and that leadership led the Eagles to two New Oxford tournament championships, two YAIAA titles and a Division II crown.

"Their leadership on and off the field helped mold our younger players," Dover head coach Bret Altimore said of Herman and fellow co-Player of the Year Brooke May.

Herman finished as the school's all-time leading scorer with 93 goals and 71 assists.

The Eagles advanced to the District 3 Class AAA semifinal round, where they lost to top-seeded and eventual champion Cumberland Valley.

Dover saw its season end in the first round of the state tournament, when Herman scored the Eagles' lone goal. She was named to the all-state team.

"They are both gifted and skilled athletes and they also possess an incredible competitive drive," Altimore said of Herman and May.

Brooke May, Dover: May anchored the defense for an Eagles unit that surrendered just six goals during division play.
