West York regrouped in the fourth quarter to earn the 54-44 victory against York Suburban in girls' basketball action on Wednesday night.

The Bulldogs trailed by one entering the final quarter, and it appeared the Trojans might collect their first YAIAA victory of the season. But West York (12-1, 7-1 Division I) outscored York Suburban 20-9 in the fourth quarter.

Sarah Shearer, fresh off her 1,000th career point on Monday, scored a game-high 20 points. Emily Wood scored 17, and the Bulldogs connected on 16-of-25 free throws.

Amanda Woodward piled in 15 points for York Suburban (3-12, 0-7 YAIAA Division II). Alexis Gettle netted 10.

New Oxford used Lindsey Miller's seven points to take a 15-3 lead after one period. Spring Grove cut the gap to seven points by halftime, but the Colonials outscored the Rockets, 23-19, in the second half.

Miller netted 11 points, and Jensen Sneeringer posted 12 for New Oxford.

Morgan Arden had six of Spring Grove's 11 field goals and posted 16 points.
