BOYS' GOLFER OF THE YEAR
Isaiah Logue, Fairfield: The Green Knights junior's crowning achievement came at Heritage Hills, where he captured the PIAA Class AA individual championship.
Logue also won the District 3 Class AA title at Briarwood East. His average, 71, also was the best in YAIAA Division III in his third-straight All-Star season.
GILRS' GOLFER OF THE YEAR
Jess Walker, York County Tech: A senior, Walker carried a league average of 97, highlighted by her low round of the year, 88, at South Hills. Walker was a consistent player, qualifying for District 3 play in all four years of her varsity career.
Drew Taylor, Bermudian Springs: A senior and team captain for the Eagles, Taylor had the division's second-best average at 73.8. A participant in the YAIAA tournament, Taylor also advanced to the second day of districts, finishing 10th overall and earning him a spot in the PIAA East regionals.
Casey Bird, Delone Catholic: The senior served as team captain for the YAIAA Division III champions. Bird finished with an 80.1 league average, took part in the YAIAA tournament, and qualified for the second day of the District 3 tournament.
Ross Hockenberry, Delone Catholic: A junior, Hockenberry's 81.3 average qualified him for the YAIAA tournament and helped the Squires capture the YAIAA Division III title.
Nick Geiman, York Catholic: Geiman carded a 76 league average, highlighted by a tie for medalist honors with Logue at Honey Run with a 72. Geiman was an entrant in the YAIAA and District 3 tournaments.
COACH OF THE YEAR
Michael Berry, Delone Catholic: In just his second season, Berry led the Squires to a YAIAA Division III championship and a third-place finish at the District 3 Class AA team tournament. Berry also guided a pair of All-Stars.
