York, PA - One month after Brandon Kinneman caught the final out to seal West York's PIAA Class AAA title, the honors continue to roll in for the Bulldogs.

Kinneman and teammates Kaden Hepler and Jerrin Toomey were named to the 2012 Pennsylvania High School Baseball Coaches' Association Class AAA all-state team. Hepler and Toomey, both seniors, landed on the first team, while Kinneman, a junior made the second team.

Three other YAIAA standouts join the Bulldog trio: Dallastown's Austin Calaman made the Class AAAA first team, and Biglerville teammates Casey Ayers (first team) and Logan Howell (second team) were included on the Class AA list.

Calaman, who will play at York College next season, helped the Wildcats to a YAIAA Division I championship and was named the Daily Record/Sunday News player of the year. He led Dallastown in batting average (.479), extra-base hits (11) and home runs (three).

Dallastown earned the No. 4 seed in the District 3 Class AAAA playoffs but lost to Penn Manor in the first round.

Calaman is currently pitching for York Township of the Susquehanna League. Also receiving state honors is his Township teammate, Chris Mattison, a Lancaster Catholic graduate.

Ayers was named the Daily Record/Sunday News Division IV player of the year after leading the Canners to a 12-8 overall record. Their 10-4 division record was second only to Delone Catholic. The second baseman's aggressive approach to hitting led to 46 hits in 20 games and a .561 batting average. Howell, a catcher, added punch to the Canners' lineup, knocking in 24 runs and cracking a pair of home runs.

Biglerville advance to the District 3 playoffs this past season, losing to Boiling Springs in a preliminary game.
