Both YAIAA teams in Pool A of the District 3 Class AA boys' volleyball tournament, played Wednesday at Wilson High School, will keep on playing this week.

Dover went unbeaten and won the pool. The Eagles defeated Lancaster Mennonite (25-17, 25-20, 26-24), and Berks Catholic (25-16, 25-12, 25-18), before finally knocking off YAIAA-rival Northeastern (25-23, 25-16, 25-18).

On Friday, Dover will face Manheim Central in one district semifinal match.

By finishing second in Pool A, Northeastern will play its fourth straight District 3 AA semifinal. The three-time defending district champion Bobcats bested Berks Catholic (25-17, 25-23, 25-18) and Lancaster Mennonite (25-14, 27-25, 25-21).

Northeastern will face York Suburban, which won Pool B on Wednesday night. Both AA semis will start at 6 p.m. Friday at Central York, with the championship match to follow.

In Class AAA, Dallastown, the lone YAIAA team remaining saw its season come to an end in Pool B at Central York.

The Wildcats lost to Hempfield (25-17, 25-20, 25-16), defeated Governor Mifflin (25-19, 25-17, 19-25), before losing to Pool B winner Central Dauphin (25-15, 25-27, 25-18),

despite taking the second set.

Class AAA Pool A winner Chambersburg will face Hempfield in one semifinal with Lower Dauphin taking on Central Dauphin in the other. Both matches begin at 6 p.m. Friday at Dallastown, with the AAA title match to follow.
