Report: Dover native John Kuhn re-signs with Saints

Dover native and 10-year NFL veteran John Kuhn has re-signed with the New Orleans Saints, according to multiple reports.

From his personal Twitter account, Kuhn wrote: "Stoked about being back in NOLA for another year. Celebrated with a KC from rouses!"

Herbie Teope, Saints beat writer for the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Tweeted that Kuhn signed a one-year deal that included an $80,000 signing bonus.

A 10-year NFL veteran, Kuhn played eight seasons with the Green Bay Packers before signing with New Orleans last year. The fullback had 18 carries for 37 yards and four rushing touchdowns last season with the Saints. He also had 16 catches for 70 yards and a receiving touchdown.

For his career, Kuhn has 656 rushing yards on 216 carries to go with 19 rushing touchdowns. He's also recorded 98 receptions for 642 yards and nine receiving touchdowns.

Kuhn played running back and linebacker at Dover High School before playing college football at Shippensburg University. He was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2005 by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He returned home last year to be the guest speaker at the inaugural GameTimePA.com Athletes of the Year Awards banquet.
