Central York, York Suburban high schools make top-50 list for athletes

Central York High School and York Suburban High School are two of the top-50 public schools for Pennsylvania athletes to attend, according to a 2017 study conducted by Niche.com.

According to the website, Niche.com devised the rankings "based on student and parent reviews of athletics, student participation in athletics, and the number of sports offered at the school."

The study consisted of just public schools in Pennsylvania.

Central York, which was ranked No. 44, and York Suburban, ranked No. 40, each received A marks in their overall Niche.com grade and their sports grade. 

Lower Merion High School, located in suburban Philadelphia, was ranked No. 1 on the list.

Dallastown Area School District, York Suburban School District and Central York School District recently made a similar list on Niche.com for best school district for athletes in Pennsylvania.
