Former West York football coach runs for office


Ron Miller, a state auditor and former West York Area High School head football coach, plans to seek the Republican nomination for York County recorder of deeds, according to a news release.

The current recorder of deeds, Randi L. Reisinger, does not plan to seek re-election. She was first elected in 2001 to lead the office that is responsible for recording and maintaining real estate documents in the county.

Miller, of Mount Wolf, has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Susquehanna University and a master’s degree in educational administration from Bucknell University, according to the release.

Miller’s last season leading the West York Bulldogs’ football team was in 2014. He previously was a college football coach and worked in the development office of Susquehanna University. He currently works in the state auditor general’s office.
