Marsteller court hearing rescheduled

A court hearing for Chance Marsteller, the York County athlete who was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and related offenses after an off-campus incident at Lock Haven University in August, has been rescheduled from Monday to Jan. 19.

Clinton County common pleas court documents indicate that the prosecution and defense have reached a plea agreement.

Marsteller was accused of kicking, spitting and biting at police officers on Aug. 25, 2016, after they were called to an apartment complex near Lock Haven University.

According to court documents, Marsteller had a blood alcohol content that was more than three times the legal limit, and also had marijuana and cocaine in his system.

He was charged with six counts of aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, disorderly conduct/fighting, public drunkenness, six counts of recklessly endangering another, six counts of simple assault and one count of open lewdness, according to court documents.
