New Oxford’s Zurich Storm won his 100th career match last Saturday at the Octorara Duals with a tech fall in his first match.

He later added a pin, two more tech falls and a forfeit to cap off his 5-0 day.

The Colonials senior is the third YAIAA wrestler to join the 100-win club this season. Delone Catholic’s Brian Shermeyer won his 100th match Dec. 10 at the Solanco Mule Classic, while Bermudian Springs’ Ashton West also joined the club last Saturday at the Lancaster Catholic duals.

Here is a look at what happened on the YAIAA mats this week:

Thursday’s highlights

Susquehannock 46, Kennard-Dale 36: In a battle at 182 pounds, Kennard-Dale’s Austin McNamee pinned Jack Allred with one second left in overtime. The match was a battle for second place in YAIAA Division II as the teams came in tied.

Delone Catholic and Bermudian Springs roll to victories: With a big match looming next week between Bermudian Springs and Delone Catholic, neither team was caught looking ahead, as both pulled off easy victories. Delone Catholic rolled previously unbeaten York County Tech at home, 58-18 while the Eagles came one point shy of a perfect match, beating Fairfield, 83-0.

Spring Grove 41, South Western 24: The rivalry match had everything you could ask for and more. The Rockets sped to an early lead, the Mustangs answered to pull ahead, but Spring Grove eventually pulled away.

Tuesday’s highlights

Delone Catholic 54, Littlestown 24: Numbers continue to be an issue for Littlestown, which gave up 42 points in forfeits. The Squires also gave up a pair of forfeits at 106 and 113. On the mat, Thunderbolts sophomore Carl Harris picked up his biggest victory of the season at 182 pounds, a 5-4 win against returning PIAA qualifier Brady Repasky.

Gettysburg 66, York Suburban 9: Gettysburg continued its winning ways, even without standout Joe Pecaitis. The Warriors welcomed back Daniel Ziegler to the lineup at 152 pounds.

South Western 32, Dallastown 31: South Western’s Chase Mowery knocked off Dalton Daugherty, 3-2, at 126 pounds. And the Mustangs bumped up 220-pounder Tom Aumen to 285 pounds to avoid Bryce Shields. Those two decisions made the difference for the Mustangs' win.

YAIAA divisional picture

Division I: Spring Grove leads the race at 4-0 while Dallastown and New Oxford are each 3-1. Next week is huge for the Rockets as they host Dallastown on Tuesday and New Oxford on Thursday to wrap up the division schedule. You can watch both of these matches live on GameTimePA.com if you cannot make it there in person.

Division II: Gettysburg has clinched at least a share of the title after improving to 5-0. The Warriors can clinch outright with a win Tuesday at home against West York.

A berth in the District 3 Class 3A team tournament could also be in the works for the Warriors, who sit in fifth place in the power rankings. The top 16 will qualify for the tournament.

Division III: Bermudian Springs and Delone Catholic are each 4-0 and will meet Thursday at Delone Catholic.
