Biglerville rolls over Susquehannock


Here are Wednesday's York/Adams wrestling results.

Biglerville's Josh Tuckey and Eli Tuckey produced back-to-back falls at 106 and 113, respectively, to give the Canners an early lead in their 56-12 victory against Susquehannock on Wednesday.

Chris Stevens picked up an opening fall for the Warriors at 285, pinning Alex Pirich in 4:18. The Tuckey’s responded with their pins, Josh’s coming in 1:56 and Eli’s at 5:14.

The Warriors cut the deficit to 12-9 in the ensuing bout as Ben Sweigard picked up a 7-1 decision. That’s when the Canners took over.

Mitchell Thomas got the run started at 126 with a 7-0 win over Xander Holloway, then Curtis Fouchie added a 4-0 win at 132.

At 138, Seth Getz recorded a fall just before the second period ended and at 145 Gabe May notcheda fall in 1:13. A fall by Scott Cooper and a tech fall by Nate Newberry pushed the lead to 41-9.

King and Michael Southerly added a decision and a fall, respectively, at 170 and 182 to push it to 50-9 before Jack Allred ended the Canner parade with a 5-3 overtime win over Colton Sentz. Victor Lopez finished off the match with a fall in 1:07 at 220 pounds.

Central York 59, Northeastern 12: Xavier Musti (132), Dylan Chatterton (138) and Orion Musti (145) opened the match with three consecutive falls, leading the Panthers to a victory against the Bobcats.

The Panthers won the first seven matches, building a 35-0 lead before the Bobcats won three straight, a pin by Dedrick Turner at 195 and back-to-back decisions at 220 and 285 by Corey Eaton and Blaine Yinger.

Yinger defeated Panther freshman Michael Wolfgram, 6-4 in a matchup of two of the YAIAA’s best 285-pounders.
