Dallastown sweeps South Western Relays


Dallastown's Logan Brockway, Spencer Hill and Jacob Stoner swam on four of the five winning relays as the Wildcats cruised to a first-place finish with 272 points Saturday at the South Western Relays.

The trio teamed with Grant Wertz to set a meet record in the 200 butterfly relay with at time of 1:36.81, Brockway and Hill were both on the Wildcats relay that set the record last year with at time of 1:37.88. Brockway Hill and Stoner also helped win one of the 400 medley and 200 freestyle races as well as the 400 freestyle and 200 medley.

Central York came in second behind Dallastown with 218 points. The Panthers won the other 400 medley and 200 medley relays as well as the 200 backstroke. Jared Hicks was the only Panther on all three teams.

York Suburban finished in third with 194 points, followed by Red Lion with 154 and Dover with 150.

The Dallastown girls also dominated, finishing first with 280 points.

Dallastown was led by Kacey Oberlander, Emma Balderson, Lindsay O'Rourke and Isabella Wise. Oberlander and Balderson were on both of Dallastown's winning 400 medley relays as well as winning 200 backstroke. O'Rourke swam on the winning 200 backstroke relay, and Wise was on one of the winning 400 medley relays.

Wise and O'Rourke were also on the winning 200 medley relay for the Wildcats.

York Suburban came in second to Dallastown with 218 points. The Trojans won 200 butterfly and 200 freestyle relay, with Keelie Walker and Cara Zortman on both teams.

West York finished in third with 193 points, Dover fourth with 178 and Central York with 167 for fifth.
