Roundup: Spring Grove, Gettysburg split meet

It took a while to decide, but Spring Grove and Gettysburg split Thursday's dual meet, with the Spring Grove girls earning a 110-63 victory, while Gettysburg's boys won, 95-80.

The meet was delayed nearly 45 minutes because of an issue with the Spring Grove's timing system. Once it began, Spring Grove's girls immediately took control by winning their first three races. Overall, Rockets finished first in seven out of 11 girls' events.

Mackenzie Miller won the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly and swam on two winning relays for the Rockets. Abigayle Keating won the 200 IM and also swam on two winning relays.

On the boys' side, The boys teams split the first six races, with Gettysburg eventually winning eight of 11 events.

Gettysburg's Nico DeAngelo II won the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke and swam on the winning 400 free relay. Logan Hyde also won two events (200 IM, 100 breast) and swam on the winning 400 free relay.

Spring Grove's victorious 200 medley relay included Jay Kuhn, who also won the 50 freestyle.
