Former West York wrestler Luckenbaugh to enter another Hall of Fame

Former West York wrestler Bill Luckenbaugh, a 1969 graduate, will be inducted into the Pennsylvania Wrestling Coaches Association Pennsylvania Wrestling Hall of Fame on April 10.

Luckenbaugh will be the YAIAA's 11th inductee since 1970.

Luckenbaugh, who was named one of West York's top 10 athletes by GameTimePA.com, won a state wrestling title in the 127-pound weight class as a senior -- and lost another state title with seven seconds left as a junior. He finished 69-5 in his career, the school's all-time leader in winning percentage (.932). He was named a first-team All-American by Wrestling USA Magazine and is also a member of the District 3, East Stroudsburg, NCAA Division II and Elizabethtown High School's Wrestling Hall of Fame.

In college, he was a four-year letterwinner at East Stroudsburg, compiling a 77-7-1 record with 59 falls.
