Monday's girls' tennis roundup: Dallastown clinches Division I title with win vs. West York

DALLASTOWN 6, WEST YORK 1 >> Dallastown swept singles action, dropping just five games as it clinched the YAIAA Division I crown with a victory against the Bulldogs.

Madi Reed (No. 4 singles) and Morgan Kistler (No. 5) each recorded 6-0, 6-0 victories.

SUSQUEHANNOCK 4, NORTHEASTERN 3 >> Susquehannock's No. 2 doubles team of Julianne Cassady and Molly Hogan defeated Northeastern's Leah Shaffer and Evonne Qui in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1, to wrap up a tight victory against the Bobcats, in a match suspended after singles play on Sept. 22.

Cassady and Hogan each won tough singles matches. Cassady rallied for a 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles over Shaffer, and Hogan won, 6-4, 6-3, at No. 4 singles to help push the Warriors to a 3-2 lead before darkness suspended the contest.

SUSQUEHANNOCK 4, DOVER 3 >> Julianne Cassady and Molly Hogan downed Anna Becker and Emily Spaulding, 7-6 (8), 7-5 at No. 2 doubles clinching a victory for the Warriors in a match suspended after singles play on Sept. 23.

Much like their match earlier in the day with Northeastern, Cassady and Hogan not only clinched the match, but also won a pair of singles matches before darkness fell in September.

The Warriors started the day at Northeastern. After that match was done, they drove to Red Lion to finish a suspended match against Dover, who earlier took on Red Lion.
