Wednesday's boys' soccer roundup: Central York's Pierce Miller nets winner vs. South Western


Here are Wednesday's York/Adams boys' soccer results.

CENTRAL YORK 2, SOUTH WESTERN 1 >> Pierce Miller's goal with 20:47 to play put the Panthers ahead for good.

The victory pushed Central York to 8-0-0 in YAIAA Division I, while South Western is all but mathematically eliminated at 4-4 in the division with just four games remaining.

Igor Gomes gave the hosts a 1-0 lead with 29:05 remaining in the first half. Just over six minutes later, the Mustangs capitalized on one of their two shots on goal when Jacob Wells found the back of the net to knot the score at one. That score held until Pierce's heroics.

Matt Maher stopped 18 shots in the loss as the Panthers held significant advantages in shots and corners.
