Saturday's boys' soccer roundup: Kibler, Irish hold off Delone Catholic

YORK CATHOLIC 5, DELONE CATHOLIC 3 >> Tate Kibler had two goals and an assist and Mike Andrews added three assists, leading York Catholic to a 5-3 win over Delone Catholic in boys' soccer action on Saturday.

Seth Falvey opened up the scoring with Kibler picking up the assist, before Gianni Hill made it a 2-0 Irish lead at the break.

The hosts pushed that lead to 3-0 in the second half as Kibler scored his first with Andrews picking up the assist before the Squires made a run. Ben Fehsal converted a penalty kick and Alex Trummer slammed home an Armando Ugarte feed to make it 3-2.

But Jeff Waser and Kibler pushed that lead to 5-2 before Fehsal scored his second of the game to close the contest.

Bermudian opened up the scoring just eight minutes into the match thanks to David Gutierrez, and then added another two goals in the next seven minutes. Although the Eagles didn't score for the remaining 30 minutes of the first half, they opened it up in the second.
