Tuesday's boys' soccer roundup: Central comes back, knocks off Dallastown

Central York's Nick Starr headed home a Carter Luckenbaugh cross with 10:17 to play, capping a comeback and leading the Panthers to a 2-1 victory against Dallastown in boys' soccer action Tuesday.

The win allowed Central (8-1, 5-0 YAIAA Division I) to remain in sole possession of first place. Dallastown (5-3, 3-2) entered the night tied for second place in the division.

After Kyle Schimmel put Dallastown up 1-0 with 10:56 remaining in the first half, AJ Lentz did his best to keep the lead. The Dallastown goalie made 18 saves, but 20 shots by the hosts were too much to overcome. The Panthers also held an 8-1 advantage in corners.

SUSQUEHANNOCK 3, DOVER 0 >> Susquehannock snapped a scoreless draw against Dover when Kaleb Lippy scored with just over 15 minutes to play in the first half. Lippy's score opened up the offense for the Warriors as Susquehannock added two more goals before halftime.

Luke Thomas scored twice while Kaleb Lippy finished with one goal and one assist for Susquehannock (5-3, 5-1 Division II).

Aaron Bilbie made five saves to secure the shutout against Dover (2-6, 1-4).

RED LION 3, SOUTH WESTERN 1>> Powered by two second-half goals, the Lions (2-1-3, 2-1-2 Division I) took down the visiting Mustangs (5-3, 3-2). Kade Adomanis netted the lone first-half score before Ian Patmore scored 11 minutes into the second half. Casey Slater cut the lead down to one three minutes later, but Collin Conrad put South Western away on a goal with five minutes to play.
