Thursday's softball roundup: York Suburban's Eytcheson earns complete-game victory against Biglerville


Here are Thursday's York/Adams softball results.

YORK SUBURBAN 10, BIGLERVILLE 4 >> Olivia Eytcheson went the distance for the Trojans in the home win, striking out seven batters with no walks.

Eytcheson also had two hits in the game, including a triple. Emily Turybury went a perfect 3-for-3 from the plate with an RBI.

The Canners' Maddie Wenk had a triple and three RBIs.

KENNARD-DALE 9, BERMUDIAN SPRINGS 2 >> Although the host Eagles touched the Rams for two runs in the first, Kennard-Dale answered with four in the top of the second and went on to victory.

Kayla Beach was 3-for-3 with a double and two runs batted in, and winning pitcher Alexis Valentine also had three hits and drove in a pair of runs, in addition to posting 11 strikeouts from the circle.

Alaina Murran and Casey Smith notched two hits apiece for Bermudian.

CENTRAL YORK 7, DOVER 4 >> Brianna Dobson went 3-for-3 and drove in three runs, and Rachel Butler added a double, a triple and two runs scored in leading the host Panthers to a win.

Central opened a 7-0 lead after scoring five times in the fifth inning. Lexi Gohn and Karsyn Blauser recorded two hits each for the Eagles, who closed the gap with a four-run seventh.
