Marshall, Hoover collect wins at Invite

Dover Invitational: Casey Marshall posted two first-place finishes to lead Dover to fourth as a team on Saturday.

Marshall took the top spot in the 100 butterfly with a time of 55.18 and followed that with a 57.42 win in the 100 backstroke.

Gettysburg’s Jared Herr started the meet with a second-place finish in the 200 freestyle and then rallied to win the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:02.99.

Dover Invitational: West York’s Taylor Hoover won two events and led the Bulldogs to a fifth-place finish.

Hoover took first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:17.73 and followed that with a win in the 100 fly at 1:03.94.

Delone Catholic’s Caroline Dudenhoeffer took second in the 200 IM behind Hoover, but was able to win the 100 breaststroke with at time of 1:11.25.

Carlisle was the overall team winner followed by Dover in second. The Eagles were led by Lindsay Brenneman, who finished second in the 200 freestyle and third in the 100 butterfly.
