Thursday's girls' soccer roundup: Sgrignoli scores winner in double overtime

CENTRAL YORK 2, NEW OXFORD 1 (2OT) >> Bre Sgrignoli's goal in double overtime lifted the Panthers. New Oxford scored first to take a 1-0 lead into the half off the foot of Cassandra Brenneman. Central's Ashley Horner pulled the visitors even in the second half, setting up Sgrignoli's heroics.

SUSQUEHANNOCK 2, GETTYSBURG 1 >> Each team converted a penalty kick, but Susquehannock got another goal from Taylor Tannura to beat Gettysburg.

The York County Warriors got on the board first when Tannura converted a penalty kick less than six minutes in. Tannura later added a second to make it 2-0 with 17:54 to play in the first half.

Abbie Winkelmann converted a penalty kick with 15:45 remaining in the half to cut the lead to 2-1, but Ashley Stone made sure it stayed that way, stopping eight shots to pick up the win.
