Tuesday's girls' soccer roundup: Dallastown shuts out Central

Dallastown blanked Central York, 2-0, to hand the Panthers their first divisional loss of the season in girls' soccer action Tuesday in a matchup between the top two teams in YAIAA Division I. The win allowed Dallastown to take sole possession of first place in the division.

Samantha Smith broke a scoreless draw when she put Dallastown up for good with just over five minutes left in the first half.

Carson Gold supplied the finishing score about 10 minutes into the second half.

Allison Hameier recorded five saves to earn the shutout for Dallastown (6-1, 5-0 Division I). Olivia Johnson made eight saves to keep the contest close for Central (6-3, 4-1).
