Two York County basketball players earned all-state honors in the 2016-17 Pennsylvania Sports Writers All-State Girls' Basketball teams announced Saturday.

York Catholic's Kate Bauhof earned first-team honors in Class 3A, the second consecutive year she took home an all-state selection. Dover's Rajah Fink earned Class 5A second-team honors, after recording a breakout season where she has set herself up for the potential of becoming the first Dover girl to record 1,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds.

Both players are juniors.

Bauhof established herself as an offensive force a year ago, but she left no doubt during her junior season. She drained 60 3-pointers and could drive to the hoop at will against most defensive schemes. The Irish won the District 3 Class 3A title and drove all the way to a state semifinal before being knocked out by eventual champion Neumann-Goretti.

"None of this would have been possible without all of my coaches and teammates," Bauhof said Saturday afternoon. "Getting that far in states ... this is the most fun I've had in a season."

Bauhof ended her junior season with more than 1,300 career points, ranking fifth all-time in career scoring for York Catholic girls.

"Everyone is playing AAU, so we can work on our skills like Coach (Kevin) Bankos wanted," Bauhof said. "I think next year will be even a bigger year for us."

Dover reached the state tournament this season after being knocked out of the District 3 tournament by eventual champion and YAIAA Division II rival Susquehannock.

Fink ended her junior season with 1,029 career points, and she ranks fourth all-time in the program's career scoring history. She pulled down 305 rebounds this season and sits at 723 in her career.

Dover will also return a strong core in 2017-18, with several underclassmen stepping up during the Eagles' 19-win season.

Three YAIAA girls' basketball players earned all-state honors a year ago, when the state still had just four classifications. Red Lion's Courtney Dimoff (Class 4A, third team), Northeastern's Jordyn Kloster (3A, second team) and Bauhof (2A, second team) all secured state honors in 2015-16.

The boys' basketball all-state teams were announced Friday. Seven York County players earned all-state honors.
