Saxton, Central York girls shoot way past Red Lion

In a rematch of last season's league championship game, Central York senior Emma Saxton dropped a game-high 25 points against the Lions, scoring 17 points in the third quarter. Central pulled away with a 21-0 third quarter.

Central York rebounded after a sloppy performance earlier this week against Dallastown. Despite the Panthers' 65-48 win, the team committed 19 turnovers according to head coach Scott Wisner, along with 26 fouls. Saxton, along with fellow standouts Nixon Valencik and Teirra Preston were saddled with foul trouble.

In Friday's win the team was called for just eight fouls — three in the first half — and saw their turnovers cut down as well.

While Central York moved to 3-1 with the win, Red Lion is now 1-3.
