3 YAIAA girls named to all-state basketball team

Three girls from the YAIAA have been named to the 2015-16 all-state girls' basketball team.

Red Lion’s Courtney Dimoff was named to the Class AAAA third team, Northeastern's Jordyn Kloster was voted onto the Class AAA second team, and York Catholic's Kate Bauhof made the Class AA second team. All three were also named GameTimePA first-team girls’ basketball all-stars.

Dimoff, a Millersville commit, finished the 2015-16 season in the top five in league scoring (14.7 points per game) and first in 3-pointers made (78). To cap it all off, she hit the game-winning shot for the Lions in the YAIAA championship game. Fellow Millersville commit, Kloster, was Northeastern’s most prolific scorer. She averaged 17.3 points per game and finished third in the league in scoring.

Bauhof was the league’s leading scorer with 21.7 points and finished second in 3-pointers made with 59. The sophomore had multiple 40-plus point performances during the season and helped the Irish reach their 11th consecutive district championship appearance.

The all-state team is voted on by sports writers across Pennsylvania.
