Roundup: Dover girls' comeback falls short


The Dover girls' basketball team held Dallastown scoreless in the fourth quarter, yet Eagles' comeback bid fell just short in the consolation game of Lower Dauphin's holiday tournament on Wednesday.

Dallastown held on for a 31-29 victory led by Julie Sutton's 11 points.

Dover was led by Rajah Fink and Elaina Reaver, who scored 12 points apiece. All of Reavers' scoring came from behind the 3-point arc.

Bermudian Springs tournament

Bermudian Springs 48, Greenwood 35: Mackenzie Farley scored 20 points to lead the Eagles to the consolation win at home.

Gabby Emeigh chipped in with 12 points for Bermudian. Greenwood was led by Mallory Fortenbaugh's 11 points.

West York 54, New Oxford 49: After being held to six points in the second quarter, the Bulldogs used a strong third quarter to outmuscle the Colonials.

New Oxford held a 29-20 halftime lead before West York went on a 17-7 run in the third quarter to take the lead. Liv Sollberger and Katie Tallman led the way with 16 points each for the Bulldogs.

New Oxford’s Kaelyn Long scored a game-high 18 points and went 6-for-7 from the line.
