Reba paces Red Lion to tourney win

Altoona holiday tournament

Red Lion 33, Upper St. Clair 31: The Lions relied on Natalie Reba and Amy Maciejewski to edge out Upper St. Clair in the tournament’s opening round.

Reba led the way for Red Lion with 13 points, and Maciejewski chipped in 11.

St. Clair was led by Ally Steve's game-high 15 points.

The Lions advance to face Ambridge at 1 p.m., after their 53-52 overtime victory over host Altoona.

Annville-Cleona holiday tournament

Littlestown 31, Annville-Cleona 13: The Thunderbolts squared their record at 4-4 on the year with a win in Annville.

The Thunderbolts shut out A-C in the first and third quarters and held the hosts to a single field goal in the second half. Emily Lanahan led the way with eight points, followed by Jill Gauthier and Aley Abate with six each.

Littlestown will face undefeated Northern Lebanon (10-0) in the championship game at 6 p.m. Tuesday. NL downed Halifax in the other semifinal 44-20, with junior standouts Megan Brandt and Zoe Zerman combining for 30 points and 22 rebounds.

Northeastern holiday tournament

Northeastern 44, Columbia 38: The Bobcats' Jordyn Kloster scored a game-high 26 points to help Northeastern hold off Columbia in an opening-round game in Northeastern's tournament. Columbia kept the game close, but Northeastern surged in front with a 15-point second quarter. The Bobcats sealed the win by outscoring Columbia, 13-10, in the fourth quarter.

Northeastern will face West Perry, a 36-31 winner against Elizabethtown, in Tuesday's 7:30 p.m. championship game.

Republican Club of Hanover Holiday Classic

Hanover 48, Pequea Valley 41: The Hawkettes’ Kelsey Staub and Emma Bell lit up the scoreboard from behind the arc in their team’s opening round win.

Bell knocked down four 3-pointers on her way to 17 points, while Staub drilled 3 as she scored 11.

Hanover will face Susquenita in the championship game today at 6:30 p.m.

Bishop Guilfoyle 62, Delone Catholic 47: Bishop Guilfoyle closed out the game going 8-of-9 from the foul line to defeat the Squirettes.

Riley Vingsen led the way for Delone with 13 points in the loss.

The Squirettes will face Blairsville today in the consolation game at 5 p.m.

Hershey Holiday Tournament

Middletown 57, Gettysburg 40: The Blue Raiders nailed seven first-half 3-pointers, jumping out to a 39-19 lead at the half in their win over the Warriors.
Middletown will face host Hershey in today’s championship at 7:30 p.m.

Bianca Jasper led the Raiders with 25 points while Ja-lynn Burton-Jones added 20 points. The Warriors received balanced offensive production, led by Devetche Johnson’s nine points.

New Oxford 40, Shippensburg 37: Kaelyn Long poured in a game-high 22 points, 14 of those coming in the second half, to lead the Colonials to victory against the Greyhounds.

With the score tied at 15 at the half, Long took over, knocking down five shots from the field as the hosts outscored Shippensburg, 14-10, in the third quarter. Long added four free throws in the final quarter to help preserve the win.
