Basketball roundup: Suburban holds off Eastern

York Suburban 47, Eastern York 40: The Trojans used a 14-3 third quarter run to break open a 26-22 halftime lead.

Molly Day led the way with 14 points, while Ali Reinecker chipped in with 13 points, nearly half of that coming on a pair of 3-pointers.

The Knights received a team-high 11 points from Catherine Tillotson and 10 from Hannah Myers.

New Oxford 67, Spring Grove 45: The Colonials jumped out to a 20-3 lead after one and cruised to the victory.

Kaelyn Long led all scorers with 17 points, while teammate Haley Luckabaugh added 16. The Rockets received a team-high 16 points from Ashton Ball and 15 more from Morgan Hagerman.

Gettysburg 39, Dover 37 (OT): Hanna James scored the only two points of overtime as the Warriors held on at home for the win.

Hailey Bortner led the way for Gettysburg as she scored 14 points. The Eagles were led by Rajah Fink with 12.

Susquehannock 40, West York 35: Taylor Tannura scored seven of her nine points in the fourth quarter, leading the Warriors to a comeback victory over the Bulldogs.

The Warriors held a 13-9 lead at the half before the offenses began to trade haymakers as the Bulldogs slugged back for a 22-20 lead after three. The hosts closed with a 20-13 run that included Tannura’s seven points, five coming from the foul line.

Ashley Stone led all scorers with 11 points in the win while teammate Tyler Williams added nine points and 15 rebounds.

The Bulldogs received a team-high nine points from Morgan Bamberger.
