Girls' roundup: West York lights up after half


The West York girls' basketball team shook off a slow start to beat Daniel Boone, 39-19, in non-league action Saturday afternoon.

Daniel Boone took a two-point lead into halftime, but West York outscored the Blazers in the second half, 29-7, to earn the win. Paige Weekly led the Bulldog offense with a game-high 10 points and was the only scorer to hit double digits.

Christian School of York 45, Lancaster Country Day 38: The Crusaders grew their winning streak  to 4-0 with a victory against Lancaster Country Day. Kendis Butler led all scorers with 16 points while teammates McKenzie Smith (12) and Bailey Stauffer (11) also hit double figures.

Emily Quan led Lancaster with 12 points.
