Girls' basketball roundup: York Suburban rolls to win


Here are Tuesday's girls' basketball results.

York Suburban 41, Gettysburg 26: Parker Faircloth-Henise led the Trojans to victory with 10 points. Molly Day added nine as Suburban's defense held Gettysburg to single digits in each quarter.

Devetche Johnson led the Warriors with 13 points.

Central York 72, Spring Grove 24: Madyson Williams and Emma Saxton scored a combined 24 points in the opening half, as many points as the Rockets scored in the game, as the Panthers won the YAIAA Division I opener, improving to 3-0 on the season.

Williams finished the half and game with 14 and Saxton with 12, after scoring 10 in the first half. Also hitting double-digits for the Panthers were Sarah Sepic and Teirra Preston with 11 and 10, respectively. Abbie Marquette scored 10 for the Rockets.
