The Colonials scored just six points, all from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter as their lead evaporated down the stretch. Kaelyn Long chipped in a team-high 10 points.

Lampeter-Strasburg 50, Dallastown 43: After a difficult showing in Friday’s opening round contest of the Hempfield tournament, Dallastown dropped a competitive match versus Lampeter-Strasburg in Saturday’s consolations.

Behind by as much as 15 points in the fourth quarter, the Wildcats (0-2) reeled off an 11-4 run to close to within six of the Pioneers (1-1). But Lampeter-Strasburg played keep-away the final two minutes to close-out the contest.

“It’s a new team, and it’s an exciting process,” said head coach of the Wildcats Mary Manlove. “Last night was a difficult opponent, and to rebound the way they did and show the poise and the tenacity they did in the last two quarters, we’re thrilled with that.”

Wildcats sophomore Julia Sutton had 10 of her 21 points in the fourth quarter to lead Dallastown. The Pioneers were led by Nevin Hoenninger, who buried four second-half 3's on her way to a game-high 25 points.
