After being out since the third week of the season with a broken collarbone, Hanover quarterback Cam Mumma returned Friday night to lead the Nighthawks to a 20-14 win over Biglerville.

The junior tossed touchdown passes to Hunter Martz and Josh Postell while also running for a short score, according to head coach Bill Reichart. The Nighthawks led 20-7 at halftime before holding off a Biglerville comeback attempt in the second half.

"Everything we did in the offseason was targeted on (Mumma's) skillset and losing him took us in a different direction," Reichart said. "Our offense is predicated on the pass setting up the run and trying to be 50-50 (with running and passing). Cam threw the ball really well tonight."

Despite losing a large senior class from last season and Mumma for most of this fall, the Nighthawks (5-4, 3-3 YAIAA Division III) can clinch their second-straight winning season by beating Delone Catholic next week. On the other hand, the Canners (0-9, 0-6) enter the final week of the season looking for their first win.

"With Delone being the crosstown rival, the kids know each other and both sides want to win," Reichart said. "There’s a lot of natural motivation."
