Exeter scores early, often in win over Susquehannock


Exeter's Chris Scott ran for 126 yards on five carries, including a 92-yard scoring run to open contest, as the Eagles romped visiting Susquehannock.

Scott's 92-yard run came in the first quarter before the Eagles added two scores — a Nick Sarangoulis 17-yard run and a Brandon Unterkoefler 48-yard pitch and catch with Connor McGarry to put the Berks County hosts up 21-0 at the break.

In the second half, Scott hauled in a 19-yard touchdown pass from Unterkoefler before Sarangoulis charged in from 4-yards out to close out the scoring before the end of the third quarter.

Warrior quarterback Josh Stoneberg threw for 109 yards on 8-of-15 passing. Nick Tannura was on the receiving end on most of those completions, catching six balls for 98 yards.

The Eagles outgained the Warriors by a 403-137 margin including a 272-28 edge on the ground. Exeter quarterback Unterkoefler threw from 131 yards on six completions, with two of those passes going for six.
