YAIAA D3 field hockey roundup: Three teams fall in playoffs

DISTRICT 3 CLASS 2A QUARTERFINALS
Manheim Central 5, Gettysburg 1: The No. 5 seeded Warriors fell to the No. 4 Barons at Comet Field in Millersville.
Manheim Central scored the first three goals of the contest before Kailey Mixell got Gettysburg on the board.
Gettysburg is now 16-3 overall. The team went 12-1 in YAIAA Division III and tied atop the division with Bermudian Springs.
East Pennsboro 4, New Oxford 2: No. 2-seed New Oxford was upset by No. 7 Eastern Pennsboro on Saturday at Lower Dauphin Middle School in Hummelstown. The Colonials now hold a 14-3 overall record. The team finished the year with an 11-2 mark in YAIAA Division I play, finishing in second place, two games behind Dallastown.
DISTRICT 3 CLASS 1A QUARTERFINALS
Boiling Springs 2, Bermudian Springs 1 (2OT): The Eagles fell short of the semifinals round via overtime defeat.
Saturday’s game was played at Lower Dauphin Middle School in Hummelstown.
Bermudian Springs is now 18-4 overall after sharing the YAIAA Division III title with Gettysburg with a 12-1 record.
