Wednesday's District 3 field hockey games postponed due to inclement weather

Because of heavy rain moving through central Pa. on Wednesday, all District 3 field hockey playoff games were postponed.

In the YAIAA, six teams had their games moved to Thursday.

On the Class AA side, Bermudian Springs (16-3) will now play Schuylkill Valley at Lower Dauphin Middle School at 5 p.m. Susquehannock (15-3) will take on Manheim Central at 5 p.m. at Warwick High School and Gettysburg (18-1) will play East Pennsboro at 5 p.m. at Dover High School.

On the Class AAA side, Central York (14-4) had its game against Elizabethtown moved to 5 p.m. on Thursday at Penn Manor. Dallastown (17-2) will square off with Manheim Township at 7 p.m. at Dover and New Oxford (13-4-1) will take on Hempfield at 8 p.m at Central Dauphin Middle School.

All quarterfinal matchups are still schedule to be played on Saturday at locations to be determined.

No other sports were affected by the district playoff postponements.
