Just a few days after winning its home-court Bobcat Invitational, the Northeastern boys' volleyball survived another scare, holding off Dallastown, 3-2, in Tuesday night's YAIAA action.

Last week, the four-time defending state champion Bobcats were pushed to five sets by another YAIAA foe, York Suburban, before Northeastern ultimately prevailed,18-25, 25-21, 25-23, 23-25, 15-10.

Tuesday night, the Bobcats found themselves in a two-game hole but stayed alive to earn a 21-25, 23-25, 25-23, 25-15, 15-11 victory.

Dallastown had been included in the PVCA's top 10 rankings in Class 3A but dropped out of the rankings this week. Northeastern holds the No. 1 spot in Class 2A.

Meanwhile, York Suburban made its debut on the 2A rankings, clocking in at No. 4. But the Trojans dropped a 3-0 decision to Central York, the No. 4 team in Class 3A.

It sets up an intriguing mix atop the YAIAA volleyball standings, although Northeastern still holds the top spot there.
