Northeastern won its third straight Bobcat Invitational on Saturday and fourth in five years.

The host Bobcats defeated Emmaus 2-1 (21-16, 18-21, 19-17) in the Championship Bracket for the title. The Bobcats defeated Pennsbury in their semifinal and Emmaus defeated Central Dauphin in the other semi.

Forty high school boys’ volleyball teams from around the state participated in the tournament that started with a round of pool play on eight courts. Teams were seeded in a play-in bracket based on their pool-play results, and then advanced to one of three final brackets based on their play-in success.

Teams that lost in the first round played in the bronze bracket, teams that lost in the second round played in the silver bracket and winners of that round played in the championship bracket.

Garden Spot defeated Susquehannock 25-18 to capture the Bronze Bracket and Fort LeBoeuf slipped past Lower Dauphin 25-23 to capture the Silver Bracket.
