Thursday's boys' tennis roundup: Dallastown's Schmitt rallies past Red Lion's Innerst

DALLASTOWN 5, RED LION 0 >> John Schmitt battled through a second-set tiebreaker against Sam Innerst to force a third set, and Schmitt went on to win the rematch of last year's YAIAA Class AAA singles championship.

Innerst won the first set, 6-4, before Schmitt took the second-set tiebreaker, 7-2. Schmitt closed out the match 6-1 in the third, and the Wildcats swept singles.

BERMUDIAN SPRINGS 4, HANOVER 3 >> The Eagles won four of the five singles matches to clinch the match victory. Tate Myers held off Hanover's Nathan Hatfield, 6-4, in the opening set of their match and followed that with a 6-2 win in the second. Haoza Phutaemnin and Josh Stroup added straight-set wins for Bermudian.

Hanover's Cam Bosserman posted his team's only win in singles play and teamed with Cody Magana for a doubles point. Hatfield got some revenge on Myers in doubles, teaming with Ben Yost to beat Myers and Bailey Hoak.
